Love the New OS .148 from VZW!!!

Hey all,

So I downloaded the new OS from VZW and its GREAT. The keyboard is updated which I didn't expect and I like it. Instead of searching to change a letter by holding down your finger on the screen a new box comes up around the word...nice addition!

Doesnt seem buggy anymore and moves very fast especially with the internet and apps:-)

There is Suretype, multi tap and now individual letters in the portrait mode. Interesting...I'll have to try it out.

Only thing is...why didnt they release this thing on Nov 21st when I got the phone with this OS. Good job 6 months later VZW and BB :-D

Glad your liking it! World better than .75. Lots of little enhancements.

Another one of my favorites is the standard browser has a go button on there to use after you type the url.

I never got into suretype so the full keyboard is perfect

Alot of people say that about the suretype. The only thing I did that I think made a world of difference is updating the custom dictionary so Im speedy on that now.

The Go button is nice...but its the same thing as the Return button tho, no? I guess its a little more intuitive :-)

Either way...I think they finally hit the nail on the head with this one. Enjoy your update

Seems to be alot faster but I have noticed that there is a hesitation sometimes making an option selection. I found that it would not move to my selection unless I waited about 5 seconds and tried again. The portrait keyboard is a nice addition but sometimes hard to use if you have fat fingers! Still way better than OS.75.

I was running .141, and I didn't notice much change. I guess there must be some bug fixes that I don't notice. I still can't believe some of you were running .75!!!

yep...that would be me. The only reason I did was because VZW said that my warranty would be void if I changed the OS

I have heard that before. You can always downgrade to the official OS if there are issues.

I am still on .75 until my install finishes tonight. All in all, I'm guessing I haven't lost as much time waiting for my laggy accelerometer, as the technically advanced have lost by constantly spending time upgrading to every new beta version that hit the internet. It's probably a push. Hopefully we'll all be happy with .148 now that it's here.

Gotta Love It! Eat your heart out iphone people, so sick of it! These two phones aren't comparable, one is more business oriented, the iphone is more of entertainment with a phone on it that drops calls like crazy. Funny how all iphone owners I know want my Storm! Only going to get better and better with time, took a while but were on the right track
