Next Storm will not be full touch screen! My perception

Hola people! I'm just saying that I don't believe the next storm will be full touch. I believe it will be half surepress and half qwerty.
Personally, I do like the platform of the current storm. I believe it is genious. It is the only true way to send business emails on a touch screen.

Why would they do away with the big allure of a full screen? All other Blackberrys are of the same basic configuration & design with the half screen and the qwerty keyboard. That doesn't make sense. Take away the full screen and nobody would own the Storm!

The new Storm 2 will have an OS that will perform without the bugs and possibly incorporate the addition of WiFi...

My take on Storm 2:

More memory
wifi
5mp camera
I hear an improved touchscreen technology

I still think it will be a full touch screen. RIM needs to have something to cater to that market segment. Otherwise the Storm just becomes a Bold on a different carrier.

It appears the button facelift is it! No camera upgrade, and almost assuredly WiFi will be added, but, other than that, same ole, same ole, and a new generation of NON-SUPPORTED victims!!!

I remember seeing a pic of one that had an optical mouse. If that new pic is the ONE, then I won't feel too bad with my 1st gen Storm for one more year. It looks really similar.

Hey Dragon, Ya think they're gonna run .75 on this "totally redesigned" device? (lol) 6 months and some genius comes up with... put the buttons under the glass and call it Storm 2. That re-design will fake em out." They must think the buyers will just fade away into the sunset like they hope we will.

That's right Storm 2....(Verizon suckers to be)...wait a year...what you get? A bowl of steam! They think they're America's most reliable Network? Hate to think of what the other carriers must be like!

Summary...Storm 1, Storm 2, Its like they left the car looking the same in the new model year, but only moved the turn signal 3 inches to the left..... 😡

Cheer up guys!

At least the buttons on the front will no longer fall off from looking at them too much 🤣
It looks thinner which means if you thought Storm 1 was delicate, wait until you put one of these babies in the palm of your hands. It will crumble like sand! 🤣

And remember, .75 was an upgrade on the first Storm. I heard .65 is standard and .75 is a $100 upgrade and 5.x is $500 plus!!! 😳

And of course I'll wind up getting one of these pathetic excuses for a phone 🤣

Hawkeye, you know, I know, and my Aunt Tillie knows that I will be the first person at a Verizon store at 7:15 in the morning, standing by the front door like an imbecile, salivating at the thought of purchasing a device (the more worthless than the first, Storm 2, fortified with glitches, bugs, non-performance, a smaller qwerty you have to invoke with tweezers to avoid a typo every other word, etc. I will serve as poster boy for the illness known as Storm Masochism.

And I will pay homage to "America's most reliable network," (and most arrogant, uppity, self righteous cell phone provider) by throwing hard earned American dollars into their pockets as they laugh in collusion with RIM at those incapable of taking a hint...THE FIRST TIME!!!...

That first day they put the Storm 2 on sale is going to be fun.

Last time our business rep forgot to put the order in first thing and then their computer system went down at 9 am! I told him forget it, i'll order this Blackberry wonder myself.

So I try the online route and the computer doesn't accept my order because there are too many people trying to order the freakin thing. So I then try to call customer service. They say they can take the order but they can't put it in the computer because it's broken!

Meanwhile I am hearing about riots at VZW stores in NYC so I decide to stay home and go nuts! 😳

Yea, I'll be first in line. Maybe i'll get lucky and this one will work 🤣

I still think I will be first in line (being a masochist) but you will have a low number on line, probably one of the 10 first fools to be hood-winked by Verizon.

You will get your totally revised visionary Storm, with the revolutionary buttons underneath the glass and the same undependable varied performance. It will still take 5 minutes to type a 2 sentence txt msg. But fear not! Verizon will assure you that they will support the phone with an eminent update coming in 6 or 7 months after purchase.

Now with .65 OS and the most dependable carrier in the free world, how can we go wrong??? Oh, one thing though, the new Storm 2 is thinner, meaning the battery is smaller.

They covered all the bases. Lackluster performance, lousy ba...

With WiFi and LTE coming, batteries in these phones should get about 5 minutes before they need to be plugged in 🤣

Your being very generous! 5 minutes gives you ample time to to wonder why you gave up on the formidable performance of the original Storm.

Now that device provided several more minutes of generous lags, lockups, triple clicks, and glitches personified!

At least with Storm 2, you can expect having fun with the 4 minute re-boots! 😁
