It actually can be used with AT&T and T-Mobile and there are people right now that have it going on these networks.
The Sim card (comes with every phone) is in the battery compartment next to the memory card. To use Verizon's Sim card you have to call and activate it for global service. To use another carriers Sim card you have to get the phone unlocked and pop in their card.
