Do you have to pay a monthly fee to use the storm as a modem.

What kind of speed do you get when using the storm as a modem.

thanks

I believe the fee is $15 a month on top of your Blackberry plan. If you have an unlimited plan it may be free I am told 😁

Anyone confirm this?

It costs $15 when added to a single line voice/data combo plan or when you have a $45 unlimited data feature. If you have the $30 email and web feature then it costs $30 to add tethering on but you do get a free month to try the service on either plan type as long as you add it on before March.

Last time I had checked it has always been $15/month. That is what I'm being billed although I have the unlimited plan for everything, so Mighty14 may be correct. You should call Verizon.

Regarding speeds check the following forum posts:

I wrote the first post however I would say I believe the second post like I believe Ford telling me I will get 21 mpg on a 2009 F-150. I have a 2007 and I only get 11 to 12 mpg.

I hope the info helps good luck.

with tethering, it always come out to $60/month. so if you have corp email, and pay 45 for bb, then its 15 to tether. if you only pay 30, then its 30 to tether. vzw will get their 60/month for computer data either way.

as far as speeds go, use speedtest.net

comcast tells you to go to speakeasy.(net or com, i dont know) because it will say faster results. try it from your computer and it SHOULD do the same. comcast is waaaay faster on speakeasy then on speedtest.
