Answering the phone

LG8350

Dec 22, 2008, 11:18 PM
I am on my third storm with .75 OS. My first two had hardware issues this one seems to be fine so far but still having problems answering the phone like the first two. When a call comes in I have to chase the answer button and after I push it it takes 5 to 6 seconds for the other party to hear me, any one else having these problems?

Used to be a known problem with .65 OS but mine went away with updates. Have you tried answering calls with the green phone button? same or different result?

Good suggestion Hawkeye. I have experienced the same problem as LG but had not tried hitting the green phone button. Either way I do hope the next update fixes the problem

Thanks that worked, on my first two storms the green key would not work.

I have noticed the same thing on my Storm. I actually have been answering calls with the green call button and then watching the screen until the "in call" screen appears. There is definitely a lag but I haven't timed it, but I don't think it is as long as what you are experiencing. I have been running on the leaked .83 update for about a day but haven't received any calls since updating. (currently running on a temporary number while mine ports over. What a pain!)

I have never ported over a number before. They make you wait? wow!

I have had the same number with Alltel for over 12 years. As it turned out, the number is actually owned by Plantell, which is a local mom and pop land line provider. So we are having to go through getting them to release the number as well as Alltel. Plantell has been the problem, as they are showing that it is no longer an active number. It has been a real pain but not as big of one as it would be to contact everyone who has my number and change it. I went through this in July when I switched to vzw for the LG Dare and ended up returning the phone because of it. Vzw assured me this time that it would be do-able. I hope so because I really don't want to return my Storm. ☹️
