I just fixed the VZ Access manager on my laptop to allow me to use the storm as a wireless modem (I had to remove the program and re-install it). In NW Philly I am getting the following speeds checking it w/ the speed test on www.speakeasy.net:

Testing from NY

Download Speed / Upload Speed
1st Test: 353 kbps / 334 kbps
2nd Test: 483 kbps / 330 kbps
3rd Test: 507 kbps / 447 kbps

Testing from DC

Download Speed / Upload Speed
1st Test: 508 kbps / 379 kbps
2nd Test: 374 kbps / 372 kbps
3rd Test: 479 kbps / 352 kbps

I am very happy w/ the upload speeds...they are the same as my DSL but the download speeds I was hoping were going to be much more faster. On EVDO Rev 0 I was getting an average 300 kbps down and 120 kbps ...

The Storm we still have is pretty fast as a modem. I do not know the exact speeds but it appears to be easily as fast as our laptop cards and my business partner claims he thinks it is faster.

When you tell it like it is, you will be saying good and bad about every phone.

It only becomes necessary to stress the negative when they outweigh the positives...and especially when fanboys start lying blatantly about the negative in an attempt to "fool" people due to their own personal loyalties.

I love my Curve and my iPhone, but if you read the forums I have had plentyof negative things to say about both of them. I have even said the iPhone is a "horrible" choice for a business phone.
