Why so angry
Why r all criticisms of the storm met with such anger on this forum? I mean anytime someone questions or brings up an apparent flaw in this phone they are met with hateful, mean remarks. I have used the phone and it definitely has a lot of issues with lag, bugs etc. Why don't some of u guys just admit that there are problems with this phone. I mean most of you crucified the G1 when it was released but 2 be quite honest with u the storm in its current build is nowhere near as stable as the G1, it may look better but it was not ready 2 b released. I hope that RIM does fix the issues with this phone but as of rite now the software just doesn't utilize the hardware the way it should, its just 2 unstable

Some are angry because a company they like and trust pulled this on them. Others are just low level VZW reps trolling boards and trying to maintain damage control and give the appearance that not everyone is having the problems you are having. Verizon and T-Mobile are the worst for sending out the trolls.

No one sent me out to 'troll the boards'. And, aside from the lag (which I've openly admitted is a problem) I've not had any other problems. Now that I've installed the new OS update, the lag is noticeably diminished. In fact, compared to my siblings phones (they all have touch screens from T-Mobile & Sprint), the lag seems about the same.
And as I said to you before dude...with this being such a strong excuse of yours, that there '...are just low level VZW reps trolling boards and trying to maintain damage control and give the appearance that not everyone is having the problems...', how am I or anyone else here to believe that you're not just the competition doing your best to steer people away from Verizon? i do not work for verizon or have any ties to the industry. i did buy the storm the day it came out. i do agree, there are issues to be addressed, although i completely trust blackberry to come out with an update soon. i maybe lucky but my phones issues are not worthy of bashing the phone or blackberry. frankly i am glad verizon got off their butts and released a phone worthy of such a frenzy. this will absolutely be the best phone blackberry ever put out. thanks verizon and rim. i am patiently awaiting the software updates, and have no doubt it is in the works.
the G1 is probably a wonderful phone, too bad it is on a network where ur screwed if you drive off a main highway, or don't live in the city. I would hate to have to pull my car ove...

Agree! Kinda funny how people just get so fired up about stuff. I myself just ignore the negative people and commits. Like all technology, the more it does the more the problems. I have a Denon receiver, a Samsung Plasma TV and both had major glitches that needed firmware updates. Sh*% happens! Deal with it!

I have a G1.. and lucky for me i work in metro areas and live in an area with awesome signal strength.. also have wifi at work and home. SO i do agree that t mobile SUCKS with rural service and simple customer service.
But i am one of the lucky ones.. whew (except customer service).
Ok so i was a verizon customer. very happy one at that. it hurt to leave. But sence Ive owed the g1 there's nothing on the verizon network that would bring me back..
I tried the storm at a verizon store.. Not impressed. I don't know the BB OS very well so it was even more of a hassle. slow and cumbersome is all i have to say about the OS. screen is nice but.. needs a lot of work!
Kinda like most the apps on the g1 market!
