clicks on screen

the at&t tilt already has the clicks when you press the screen. it will also do it with the hardware buttons too, but you can turn both these off. i cant remember if it's on the at&t 8525 but i know it's it's on the tilt. so the blackberry storm isnt the first to have that as they are claiming.

The screen ...the whole screen is a button that is pressed down on any confirmed selection, like typing etc.,

so does that mean you actually have to press the screen down instead of tap it like a touch screen???

Can you turn the click sound off? That would be bad if you could not. Noone would want to making clicking noises during a meeting . . .

I am glad that I am not the only person questioning this logic. I haven't tested a model but would imagine that since the screen is being manually pressed, there is no turning off the click. I work in a corporate environment, and when I am in a meeting I am often texting/emailing under the tables. 🤣 A click will hinder all hopes of my sneakiness!

It doesnt make a loud clicking sound. Just a internal click that you can feel as pressing a button. Kind of like pressing a button on certain keyboards.

It's not a sound! 😕 It's a button! 🙂

It's no noisier than ANY button on any phone.

i tried to be nice lol. when bb says the screen clicks, they arent reffering to the audible sound, they are talkin about the screen moving, thus the "click"

I dont want to overexert myself by having to press down on a screen just a simple tap should do it or maybe a simple slide.

When I finally get to poke about the Storm, I think I will already be accustomed to it. I practically STAB my LG Dare when speed texting, and if it takes little effort to click down the screen on the Storm I will be hammering out the texts quickly anyway!
