Great phone, few issues, Questions:
1. Is the Location Based Service a GPS reciever?
2. Will it have an application to allow me to see where my phone is if it's lost?
3. Will ther be an application to see where I'm at on a map?

LBS is only used as a transmitter not a receiver. It's solely used for the Federally mandated E-911 service for emergency service about and around the US. LBS is used here in the US to find your location after a 911 (emergency) call has been placed. They can find you within a 2-3 mile in meters within a triangular area vs the old way where it gave them a 5-10 mile radius. I hope this helps.
