Bluetooth SDIO cards - which are compatable?

Jun 17, 2004, 4:00 PM
I just ordered my i600 from Verizon and now awaiting its arrival. One of the things I want to do is install an Bluetooth SDIO card to allow me to connect to my Acura TL's internal Bluetooth network as well as use a Bluetooth headset.

My question is which cards are compatible. I see a number of Palm Bluetooth SDIO card on eBay as well Toshiba-branded cards.

Will any and all of these work? Any one better than the other?

Thanks in advance for your help!

Have you found anything since you posted your question? I startedd to research, but unsuccessful so far. I saw the Socket, but no compatibility info for the Samsung. I think the other brand I saw was Pretec, but this one I think was not yet available and also no compatibility info.

Thanks in advance for your help.

Does anyone have an update on the availability of SD Bluetooth cards for the Samsung SCH-i600?

There really should be no need for a BT SDIO card. Both Verizon and Sprint sell a Jabra Bluetooth Adapter.

If you go to either of the websites ( or (
And you go to the Accessories page, and look up the i600, you will see it.

VZW: $49.99
SprintPCS: $59.99

Here is what it does:
The Jabra Bluetooth Adapter gives mobile users the ability to use any Jabra Bluetooth headset together with their non-Bluetooth phone. Supports voice dialling, with a simple LED interface so that users can easily see if the headset is on or off and a low battery indicator. Provides up to 8 hours of talk time and 240 hours standby.

Hope this helps
