Saving phone numbers in the address book

Just got the Eternity. Love it... almost. We brought over our old sim card since it had all the contacts already in it. Many of the numbers got mixed up in the transition regarding what type of phone it is. For example, Home numbers keep showing up as Work and vice/versa. Everytime I change this and click Save everything seems to work fine until I exit the address book. Then when I go back, it's mixed up the numbers again.

Can anyone please help with this? I have 2-3 numbers for many of my contacts and I want just 1 address book entry for each contact with their associated numbers in their record.

Great phone if I can resolve this! Also, I've created new entries and it still happens. Very frustrating! Help is appreciated!!

copy phone book to phone then under phone book options, switch view option to phone only. Sim card cant save multiple contacts to one contact. only phone can do this.

Thanks, Chris. I eventually came to the same conclusion and resolved the issue, though I'm not thrilled with the resolution since if the phone crashes, there goes all the addresses. Actually, I was able to save multiple phone numbers to one contact via the sim card; however, I was always unable to lock in the type of phone associated with the number until I switched the address book to the phone. I suppose there's some software I could use on my computer to sync up my address book, but 1) I'm too cheap to buy anything and 2) I'm not techy enough to figure out a clever solution. Still, thanks for the reply; at least it confirmed my approach.

There is actually a free software from Samsung called PC Studio. You can get it directly from the Samsung website. Then all you need to sync it is the data cable. As far as the phone book goes, you will be able to save multiple contacts per name on the sim but if you moved the sim they wouldn't transfer. Glad to help though. I've had the phone for about 10 months and have no complaints.
