Is ther a way to silence the speaker on the blackberry 8350i. I have a customer who cannot silence direct connect when alerted or contacted. There is no way to stop someone from not using alert edicate. He will get a call therough direct connect and it is not private. How can he make the direct connect call private? 😳

The only way I have found to do this (similar issues with DC etiquette) is to go to phone, then options, Direct Connect, and then change Speakerphone to "Off" instead of on". That will make it so it doesn't go through the DC speaker, but through the phone speaker. I think this is a programming error by the development team. The mute button doesn't work, and none of the options in the profiles will change it. They must not have had a DC user on the development team.
