has anyone had issues with the battery on the gravity. i get barely 4 hours of moderate use on it. unplug it at 7am and by noon its pretty much dead. very little use. mostly text once in a while. anything?
yeah, same here. i don't think mine runs down in a day but i notice that the battery definitely isn't as great as the battery on my previous LG EnV2. i don't have texting yet so i've just been doing minor calling and sending one or two texts -- I plugged my phone in Sunday morning, let it charge and now (Monday morning) it's down to 2 bars. boo.
i'm scared to think what the battery is going to be acting like when i get fav 5's AND unlimited texting (i usually text a lot). *sigh*
same here! I charge my battery every night and by 3 pm i have 1 bar left! I should receive my second battery today so I have back up, and see if it's any better. I thought mine was no good till I saw eveyones postings!
For the people that have been having poor battery life on this phone.... has it improved at all over time? I was also reading on another forum that it might be the battery meter. IOW, the battery meter is not accurately reporting the battery status. Some have stated that the battery goes to one bar rather quickly, but stays at one bar for over a day. Can anyone confirm this?
A rep at the T-Mobile store confirmed to us today that T-Mobile is going to offer a software upgrade ( in a month or so ) to fix the battery problem with the Gravity ( T459) phone. Not sure if this is really true. Have no idea how they will contact customers... told us to keep checking in at the store.. I see nothing on the web in reference to this but he assured us that all the T-Mobile employees were aware of this problem and solution. He also told us that the Gravity actually had 40% power when it dropped to one bar. I don't think he is correct since it drops so rapidly.
It's very frustrating to know that T-Mobile continued to sell these phones at Christmas with no mention to the customer of the battery problem or advise on saving ... (continues)
