worth updating to from an LG Voyager?

I have had a voyager since last fall, and it's a decent phone, but it's not a smartphone and if you aren't paying for the browser/mobile tv/gps package then you aren't getting too much out of the phone. I feel I am ready to upgrade to a smartphone, and the omnia had a great list of features that got me interested.

I don't have an upgrade with verizon until march 2010, but if I can get an omnia through ebay and bring it in to verizon I can add it onto my family plan without having to start a new contract or change my existing one (other than adding the phone's monthly data plan).

what I would like is some words of advice from people who own the phone, whether it is worth upgrading to, and also a question about the data plan:

Hey man,
I went through the same issues that you are going through and I had myself a couple of questions? First, are you always on the go needing to receive emails, go on the internet, etc. I am in college and work full time so I need that flexible with my phone and it works wonders. internet is great if using the opera browser. stay away from IE. i got it working like a mp3 player, and u can put Windows Media music on the phone. Great camera phone. Its well worth the money. my bill is around 100 a month after tax and everything, thats 900 minutes and the data plan...any other questions, just ask

I would do the upgrade. I had the Voyager, then the Dare, then I went back to the Voyager, now I have the Omnia, and I didn't regret changing.

The Omnia has better internet capability with the Opera browser, as well as a much better camera.
