I was on the verizon site Friday to upgrade my phone to the Omnia which was price as being free but I decided to update my calling plan first. After upgrading my plan to the family connect, now the price is showing $99 after the online discount.

How did you even get to select a "connect" plan w/this phone? When I go in to upgrade, I can only select from either basic, select or PDA/Smartphone plans. I wanted to try the 900 minute connect plan for 89.99, but I can't w/this phone evidently.
I'm wondering if I upgraded my plan to the connect plan I want if I could THEN select the Omnia as a new phone w/o having to change plans again?
