The i910 has 8GB of Internal Memory available to the user for storage.

Additional, if wanted...the user can add the External Storage Card which is a microSD Card up to 16GB.
That is a lot of memory avalable for user use.

I'm looking right now at the "Memory" display on my Omnia I910.

Total internal "Storage" is reported as 88.17MB. That's **total**, not in use. It's also MB, not GB. Of that amount, my phone is using 43.16MB, leaving 45.02MB free.

This is nowhere close to 512MB. "8GB" is a joke.

The same display shows total "Program" memory as 97.35MB, with 43.47 in use and 53.88 in use.

I also have an 8GB microSD card installed.

I couldn't see any way to edit my earlier message, so I'll post another. It looks like the phone DOES have 8GB of storage.

The numbers in my earlier post were from the "Main" memory tab. In the "Storage Card" tab, there are two choices, one called "My Storage", which shows a total of 7676MB, and a separate item for "Storage Card", which is the 8GB card I put in the phone.

So, the phone comes with "Main" memory and "Storage Card" memory, totaling more than 8GB.

Yes...
The Omnia comes with:
8GB Internal Memory (available to the user)
97MB Program Memory (RAM)

and...

you can add the external Storage Card with up to 16GB of additional storage.

That's a lot of storage! Over 24GB! And, I love this feature!

This is just one of the many great features of the Omnia!

i haven't installed a card yet but it says 8gig total in my storage card tab, and the very small mb number for main storage, so which one is it, does the card add to the internal storage capacity? why does it show 8 gig already in my storage card tab, i haven't put anything in there yet

It's essentially a partition. I'm guessing Windows Mobile 6.1 doesn't really know about partitions. So the hard drive is 8 GB with 100 MB in program memory where the OS is and the rest of it is labeled as My Storage. You can add another 16 GB by adding a memory card and I believe it labels this Storage Card.

My guess...

The Storage memory is the default preinstalled hard drive which serves as the place where all the program files, music, images, and videos are storaged. I am currently using 2.62MB out of my 8GB memory.

Does anyone know how to make good use of this 8GB? Because I've tried to put in a few songs and the maximum i came to found able to fit is 7 or 8 music files ranging from 3,000kb to 5,000kb ...

If i figure it out I make a new topic how to do so...

You're putting it in the wrong place. You need to put it in "My Storage". It sounds like you're putting in "My Device".
