*Logmein Pro - This allows you to remote control your home PC or other PCs as well as transfer files back and forth. All securely. (theres also a free version minus the file transfer ability)

*WMWifiRouter along with ICS(internet connection sharing). - This allows you to turn your Omnia into a wireless hotspot for your laptop (and/or other wifi devices). No added tethering costs from Verizon either. Love it !!!!

*Hamachi - puts your Omnia on a private network of other PCs and devices you enable on a secure private 5.x.x.x network. Great as a VPN.

WMWIFIRouter - Very Intriguing, obviously I'm a rookie and haven't used that before.

I found and downloaded it, but where can I get the ICS program?

There are several different versions out there. This is the one that worked for me:

Also here is some setup info:

1. Place the cab file in the main memory and then install it to the main memory.
2. Soft Reset.

If you want to tether the data connection without the wifiRouter software and just use a USB cable, Just install the ICS software and do the following:

1. Place the cab file in the main memory and then install it to the main memory.
2. Soft Reset.
3. Click on ICS from your Program Menu.
4. Press the Connect button.
5. The menu will say "Check USB connection", NOW connect the USB cable to the phone and the computer. In a few seconds, the menu ...

That is correct. All I have is the $30 per month data plan and my family voice plan. By using these 2 peices of software (ICS and WMWifirouter) you basically create a shared internet connection in the windows operating system that then enables you to broadcast it via the built in wifi. Thus you now have a wireless router in the palm of your hands. No usb cable requred, no extra fees to the crooks at Verizon, and you are not limited to just one shared connection (connect your whole family at one time). You can have up to 254 connections simultaneously (but keep in mind the more connections, the slower the internet since its shared.)

Yes, it is very simple. Download the file, run it and it will be available the next time you sync your phone. WHen it gives you the option, put it in My Memory or in the extra memory card, do not install it into the main memory, unless you really want this software and if it demands to be installed there.

Alternately, you can save the .cab file to your phone and just run it from there. I like to use the PC because then there is no need to keep the .cab on my phone. But, maybe you want it on your phone in case you need to re-install and you are not near your PC.
