Samsung Omnia i910

Hey there, I am really looking to upgrade to a smartphone. I am trying to find the best one and was hoping this omnia was it but wanted your knowledgable opinions. First, I want a smartphone so I can sync my gmail which is routed to my outlook on my personal PC. I want to use this as more of a personal assistant that I can get my email and have my contacts and calendar from my outlook. I will not sync it to work and I will not use it too much to update any spreadsheets or word doc’s or pdf’s but would probably need to view a few. I do want the wifi and not sure if the issues w/ the wifi have been fixed, I recall reading that you cant download the app store and use the wifi?
