Navigation on the G1
Hey, all.
I have a question about the navigation available thru google. Does it have the capability to give you turn-by-turn directions with voice? or does it just show you a map like a Thomas Guide would?

As far as I know it doesnt have turn by turn dircetions. I know that a few companies are working on it for this phone, but dont hold your breath. I doubt Google would allow them to put their applications on your phone.

the G1 has a completely open sourced OS. You can create anything you want for Android and as long as its not malicious you can distribute it. the only problem will be compatibility with low end Android phones or non-touchscreen Android phones.
