HTC G1
Should I buy?
Is the G1 worth getting without the 3G network?
I LOVE the Iphone... and I hear you can unlock it for T-mobile service. Should I do that?
What does this phone have that makes it superior?
We use gmail for work... but I can't I open gmail from an Iphone?
Someone help me make a decision.

1. Can't see the keyboard on the Bronze model
2. Too much of a brick
3. Accelerometer not utilized with OS
4. I thought a developer would make a video capture app but I am not sure if it will happen now
5. I want to check out the Samsung Behold
If some good updates come out I might order the black model.
Or is it just another fun new phone with a sweet camera but not very business friendly?

The Behold will have very little available for download, but it will be COMPLETE out of the box and I don't have much of a business need.
G-1 if:
-You like a physical keyboard
-if you need easy access to gmail for your work
-you don't mind possibly not having faster 3g in your area for the moment
-not sure if there are problems with unlocked phones from other carriers being put on t-mobile but if you are sticking with t-mobile I would get a supported phone from them
Go to an apple store and play around with the iphone. It's a love it or hate it thing with some because it's all touch screen.
tdrocker said:"Sometime next year" may not be next year at all. Some places wont see 3G until 2010. If you are depending on 3G for the G1 in your area, your off to a bad start. You need to ask yourself, can you live with this phone on the EDGE network? even if 3G never reaches your area?
The 3g network will not be available in Jacksonville until sometime next year. My t-mobile contract is up in May. I need something now!
