Sync on Mac.

Does anyone know what the syncing situation is for mac users. I went to a T-Mobile store yesterday, and really liked the device after playing with it for like 10 minutes. However, they are pretty clueless when it comes to syncing the phone with a mac, or a pc for that matter.

I have all of my contacts in Address Book and calendar events in iCal. I don't want to have to switch to web based Google calendar/contacts just so that things can sync with the phone. I have BB Pearl now and "PocketMac" which is free from BB syncs everything up for me when I connect via USB. Does G1 have similar software? Or are the syncing services limited to OTA Google web-based solutions?

Currently right now the G1 is limited to OTA sync with gmail. There is not desktop sync available for pc or mac at this point. I have heard that MissingSync is going to release support for the G1 for mac. I'm not familiar with PocketMac but I would think they would eventually release something.

Just remember this phone just came out there will be more software options in the future.
