seriously, it is about time that HTC made a phone with 16 million colours.. in fact, i will purchase the phone soon and count every individual colour because i dont believe those htc bastards, and though i dont like the iphone, at least it was the first major phone with a 24 bit screen!

Seriously, is there any noticable difference between RGB(100,100,100) and RGB(100,100,101)? Think about it for a minute - 65,000 different colors is a lot. You cannot discern a difference in all those colors.
Anyhow, the info here about this phone having 16 million colors is not correct. Every other site says it has 65,000.

I tested it myself. It's definitely more than 65,000, at least in certain apps like the web browser.
Often phones do not support all colors in all situations. For example, many Motorolas support 262,000 colors, except for wallpaper (a major place people would care) so they only advertise 65,000 to avoid any kind of false advertising claim.

That's interesting. Thanks for the info, Rich.

Who cares if it's 65,000 or 16 million? Really it would still only be about half. The colors I saw after I ate them shroom's.I ate last week!

Actually I do see a difference. It's crisper and better to look at. I went from a 65k to a 252k (right?) and it looked MUCH better IMO. And my friend has 16million and it looks even better. So yeah I do see a difference. Not color for color but overall.

Well, you would to tell us what phones you were comparing. The biggest factors are screen size and resolution.
...
I'm glad you have time on your hands to count 16,000,000 individual colors.
...
lol, it was an obvious joke.. anyway i use to be hardcore about screen resolutions, but now that they are up to par on high end phones, i think it should be also standardized of 24 bit colour on high end phones.. and i dont know about you guys, but i can definitely tell the difference between 64k and 16 million colour screen, the latter can obviously show much more realistic photo's
