Dont get mad cuz sprint has the best phones are the market and t-mobile is still light years behind. Just now offering 3g service while sprint is moving in for Wimax. Just now getting an ok phone. Sprint provides power houses that are capable of doing it all g1 is for wishfull thinks who depend on someone else to to t-mobiles dirty work. Stop makin excuses for a lame phone other wise it will never get better. g1 = waste of money

Wimax is inferior technology. Most major carriers have stayed away from it. even cnet says it's doomed for failure 🤣

Sprint is dieing look at their review and their devices. the company is dieing. i had sprint b4 and it suck compair to att verizon and tmobile. personally i think gsm carries are better. u have a bigger flexability with devices. you can buy phone from other countries and use em here. so sprint back off. on that same note the g1 is a true international phone and the fact that you can creat what ever program you want for the g1 make it an altimate phone. (i have just seen some wifi spoofers software being release for the andriod.) the sky is the limit to what this device can do.

Stop making excuses for Sprint:

Despite Sprint having the "Best phones", they have some of the worst warranty rates I've ever seen. Sprint continue support for the WORST OS windows mobile is light years behind from ATT supporting Iphone's OS and everyone else with Android.

Sprint's "power house" is still light years behind Verizons.

Sprint has hands down the WORST customer service with hold times averaging 10 minutes? Light years behind Verizon and T-Mobile.
getting Sprint = Waste of Time and minutes.

Sprint still hold the worst chrun rate for customer (Glad my company stopped selling Sprint)

Your precious HTC Diamond isn't even exclusive with Sprint, ANYONE can have it with either GSM or CDMA.

Sprint hasn't dominated in ...

Sprint actually does dominate. Sprint has the best warranty around I get free in-store replacements and equipment protection is only 7 bucks a month for total protect against water damage or lost or stolen phones with a 50 dollar deductible. t-mobile sends out refurbished or broken phones with Sprint I've gotten a new phone with all the accessories every time put them on ebay and even made some of my deductible back. Sprint phones are on the cutting edge right now. Android is not even good enough yet and t-mobile has the worst phone around thats why this phone has such a high demand because its half way decent. The Diamond is faster, smaller, and has way more features than the g1 and can run circles around it all day on cdma and does not nee...

A trolls word vs. Everyone else, who am I more incline to believe?

Diamond has better hardware, but WinMo is still ****ty, diamond still freezy when you open more than 1 app. Keep in mind they are made by the same company, not by T-mobile, the diamond wasn't made by Sprint either.

Sprint still has 52 million customers left, and quickly dropping, enjoying they're long hold times and horrible customer service.

Does it have tangerine trees and marmalade skies?

Seriously, I used to carry a Sprint work phone around with me during the day. I also carried a personal Verizon phone because the Sprint one didn't work so well. Convinced the boss to switch because he got tired of paying my Verizon bill reimbursements 🤣

Hands down, Sprint is down at the bottom of the pile. Diamonds long paragraphs won't change that 🤣

Funny guy, first of all DiamondPro got OWNED AGAIN. Second, I work for AT&T in Texas, and we have about anywhere from 4-8 people switching from sprint to AT&T. I know the manager of T-Mobile in the mall that I work at, he get's the same amount of people switching from Sprint. 52 million customers is going down, AT&T has 72 million plus. Still counting because more people are switching. Sprint has insurance 7 bucks a month plus $50 deductible. AT&T has it for $5 a month plus a deductible from $50-$125 depending on the type of phone. And again on customer service, it stinks! I get better service in a grocery store.

You probably work for sprint that's why your up in here trashing everything. Just keep your personal issues to youself and quit...

i agree with you on everything except one thing and thats that windows mobile is not light years behind i know that out of the box its boring and can be considered out dated but as with any os as long as you add the right mods to your phone you can have a pretty slick layout.

Im not saying this is a bad phone and that soon it wont have one of the best os on the market. Its just not the best phone a person can buy, like everyone here makes it seem. The best phone to date is the Diamond until the Pro comes out. g1 still has a long way to go! 😎
Check it out here in comparison to the Omnia

Face the facts this phone has a long way to go. The only reason why I even post here is because people were saying its the best of the best. Its not even close with everthing this phone lacks it shouldn't even be called a smartphone. The Andriod platform shows promise just not on the g1. Just because a phone is open-source does mean its gonna be great so is every computer you buy at walmart does that mean they all deserve the hype the g1 is getting. On top of that third party apps such as the ones one found in the app store on the g1 can be found online for almost any device all you have to do is google it. Windows Mobile also has a ton of cool free apps and upgrades you can find all over the web. The only difference is the people who make t...

Buying 2 tin cans and some string would be better than the Diamond:

Diamond Flaws: 🤣 🤣 🤣

VoIP is a no-go. The firmware of the Touch is crippled and does not provide Windows Mobile 6+ SIP support, Skype doesn’t run on Windows Mobile 6.1, but all that doesn’t matter anway because none of the Voip-Solutions actually use the speakerphone. You can only get VoIP sound on the amplified speaker on the back of the phone - or you use a headset at which time, the thing isn’t better than any other VoIP solution at my disposal.
GPS is a no go as the Diamond takes *ages* to find a signal and it’s really fiddly to get it to work - even just in the integrated Google maps application.
Typing anything is really har...
