Sub $10 Katana Hard Rubber Covers on Ebay Worth It?

I just ordered a Katana Eclipse and noticed there are a lot of people on Ebay selling a 2 piece cover that is made of a hard plastic/rubber substance for any where from $7 to $10 bucks.
Anybody using these covers?
Do they snap on or slip over?
Do they fit well and still allow the phone to close?

I got one for my moto ve20. I like it. They snap on and fit very good and snug. They have cut outs for all external buttons and ports, so no functionality is inhibited. It does not in any way prevent the phone from fully closing.
I don't use it all the time because it does add some bulk to the phone and it makes the phone just a tad more cumbersome to handle (just like any cover would, such as a leather cover). I like to put it on mostly on the weekends when I am out doing activities.
