FM radio requires the headphones be plugged in.

As for the GPS, this phone is one of a few that Verizon decided to "unlock" the GPS option for very soon. Meaning it will work with apps
other than VZ Navigator.
like Google Maps. Finally Verizon is trying to remove part of its head from its arse !
