Yes, I see your point. However, on your own logic, this was still an inappropriate review, as it did not review the HTC Touch Pro described in the specs set out in the "Info" tab.
This person could have gotten his point across by giving the phone a fair review (again, his opening sentence began with call the phone "excellent"), and in the title to his review, make it clear that Verizon had crippled the unit. (He didn't even need to do this, as he's already flooded the forum with his complaints on the topic, but whatever).
Phonescoop tends to forget that people outside the US use cell phones refer to the website. I think it a mistake to go one step further and introduce "carrier specific" model discussions, which further limits the relevancy of the information for the general public.
