Straight Dope please

Ok. I see where most people rate the camera on this phone as top notch. However, the most recent post says the camera quality is not good. Someone give me the straight dope please. Camera quality is very important to me. I currently have the Sanyo M-1 and find the camera to be top notch. Can anyone compare the 2 camera's? I'm still waiting for Sprint to make this phone available. They say they are on back order!

Ok guys....So, let me rephrase. If you had to rate the camera quality from 1-10. 10, being the best....1, the worst. How would you rate it?

Are the pictures going to come out grainy? How well does it take a picture in the dark?

Phone has a Camera, NO camera "Button" on the side or anything. You have to manually get it from the Touch Flo 3D page, or retrieve it from the Programs menu if it isnt saved as one of your favoriutes in the Start Menu. Camera is EXCELLENT! The only thing i didnt do is take too many dark pictures. I didnt like the resolution in the dark. For example, if im inside a building, and im taking a picture of outside the phone had trouble focusing because it was dark inside and bright outside. The shot didnt come out good at all. Phone is SOLID, i love it and know you people will too! The Video-Out ability is awesome!

If you need quick access you can program the buttons to camera or video or any app u like. I agree the camera is EXCELLENT! Dark pictures can be take you just have to use the white balance and/or flash to get them right. As far as the video out all I can say is wow! The video cable was kinda hard to find but well worth the wait and the back order of 600 people ahead of me. Some one even uses it to get live tv from there screens in there car! Whoa! Cool

This phone packs one heck off camera/camcorder to say the least. The camera has a flash that blinks, it has zoom up to 2x, camera on screen shortcuts, (Album, capture mode, and menu).

Capture mode has photo, video, panoramic, and contact pictures. Mine also has burst, photo theme, sport, video share, and Gps photo.

Menu allows you to turn on the flash, change the white balance, adjust brightness, and set the timer. From the menu you go to advanced options to change the defaults.

Advanced options has 5 pages of worth of Settings.

Review duration
Resolution ranging from 1/3mp up to 3.2 mega pixels defaults to 1mp.
Quality up to super fine

Wrong Diamond.
There is no dedicated camera button on the Touch Pro and if you actually owned it you would know that

Still following me around I see Eh?

I never said there was a dedicated button but if you knew anything about WM then u would know you could program any button to be dedicated to the camera or any feature for that matter but u don't need it really.

How about u go play with your storm and leave the Touch Pro users alone! I would tell you why the storm is a piece of crap but I think this website say enough. Cool

Just pointing out that you are wrong as usual with your ramblings. Very Happy

I am leaving Touch Pro users alone, but you must remember that you are not one of them Laughing

Giving legitimate honest people mis-information about a product and mocking HTC users is just not appreciated Diamond.
How is your Treo running? Time to update a little?

Actually your wrong as usual but you wouldn't notice cause all you do is talk Rolling Eyes

Seeing how you did even respond to the article about your crappy phone I think its clear the storm sucks. Did I hurt your feeling? Embarassed

You don't even know what treo you owned. One minute you have this model then you have that one. Don't be jealous because I have a Touch Pro on Sprint and you dont. Laughing Still following me around Eh? tisk tisk tisk

uh...that made little sense. Surprised

Not sure why you like to pretend you know anything about HTC products. I admire your guts for actually still standing as others time and time again correct your lack of knowledge of phones.

Stick around and watch, you can learn something from them, but pretending you own anything more than that old treo of yours is doing everyone a disserviceVery Happy
