Assuming you haven't rearranged your menus, go to Settings => 1. Wi-Fi => Wi-Fi Power On.
After Wi-Fi has been turned on, go Back to the Wi-Fi menu and select Available Networks. You should find your home network in the list. Select Options, and hit Connect. Enter in any password you might have on your home network, and you should be good to go.
To access the internet, to go Fun & Apps => 7. Web Access. Then select 5. Go To URL, and you're there.
Please note that you DO NOT need a t-mobile dataplan to surf the net in this fashion, nor will it cost you anything to do so. I spent a good couple nervous weeks waiting for my bill to find out for certain :-)
This is the only way I've connected, and haven't gone through t-mobile's service, so I can't advise anyone there.
As for sending pictures directly through wi-fi, I'll have to play with that one for a while. The only solution I can think of for now is uploading your pictures to your Kodak gallery, or to photobucket, connecting to those sites through your computer, and saving them from there.
