Will it roam in Japan?

I assume that if it will work in Europe on UMTS 2100 it will work in Japan as well as a 3G phone. Is that correct?

It requireth the WCDMA IV 1700/2100 band UMTS, which only worketh in the US (and only with T-Mobile here) at the moment. So sorry, no Europe or Japan.

I can answer my own question, having just come back from two weeks in Japan, it roams just fine in Japan. It usually roamed to Softbank, sometimes to NTT DoCoMo. Global text messaging and email worked fine, I did not try web browsing.
