Tethering may be removed in a future software update
Just be careful if one wanteth to tether to a computer or laptop for that it is rumored that tethering will be removed in a future software update.

but T-Mobile may prevent customers without total internet or VPN to tether by sending some setting
since I have VPN already, I don't think I'll get affected after all

Word on the street saith that the next software update for October will remove tethering, and all future TM506s after that will have the non-tethering software.

I am not sure does T-Mobile change the mind
so far (it's november already), I don't hear anybody complains the tethering is disabled
apparently the new data pricing will be in effect, includes 10GB limit with all (including maxed out web2go), and I think tethering is supported on all
T-Mobile doesn't need to disable tethering once the new data policy is in effect
the sign will be on T919, if tethering is supported, there's no reason to disable on this one, as T919 also has 3.5G
