Hi folks, I currently have a BB Curve on VZW. Is the Treo 800w a better phone for those who have owned or used both models?

Blackberry is in a class by itself. Palm is unfortunately on the decline and is rapidly being left behind in the smartphone category. I have a palm 700 and 800 series isn't enough of an improvement.

I like Palm, but there are better phones out there like the Curve

Treo is a much better option for someone looking for both media and Data capable phones. BB has more of a business only feel while Palm has both. Dont get me wrong curve is a nice phone but if I had a choice palm hands down. Here's why better apps, Touch screen display and keypad, more program memory more than double the BB Curve 96 to 256mb which will come in handy big time when adding programs or apps or even ringers, Wi-fi capatible nuff said BB curve does not, infrared ir not support on BB curve, better support from palm, Text templates, and better sound and video quality.

With the Palm 800W you are stuck with windows mobile which is not intuitive. Do a Google search and you will see how buggy the OS is. Its biggest problem is locking up phones forcing frequent resets.

Palms own operating system is far more stable but archaic.

Palm was the business standard just a few short years ago but was quickly passed by BB. Blackberry's latest phones have all the media capabilities. They are a better all around phone and have a superior STABLE operating system.

Palm isn't what it once was

But with Windows Mobile, it's much better.

I've had the at&t 8310 Curve, and I currently have the Treo 800w. The Treo has double the memory, wi-fi, and can do do tons more than the Curve can.
