Palm Treo 800w

I have it on decent, yet changeable, authority that Verizon will NOT be carrying the Treo 800w because it has failed Verizon's testing department over and over and over again. This is a regular issue for Palm devices, not just the 800w. For instance, the 755p took forever to launch due to its inability to work properly with the E911 system in certain testing areas around the US.

On a personal note, after working for Verizon the last several years, I have to confess that anyone who lives and dies by the Palm Treo, regardless of carrier, is probably kidding themselves into believing its the best thing on the market. There are many more devices of exceptional quality in the industry. Additionally, I would probably share the opinion of many Verizon employees when I say that the Treo is, was, and probably always will be a pale comparison to any device, even something as inconsequential as the Pantec PN-210 (with apologies to my friends at Pantec).
