Pathetic Garbage! Same-Old Treo! Minor Upgrades. More Bleeding Customers!!
After 5 years from between the release of the Treo 650 to this, the 800W is the best that Palm can do?! In the face of the iPhone! All Palm did was finally add the features they should have added all those years ago.
The insiders are saying Palm will be releasing the Treo 850 within the next several months. If this is true, Palm is going to spend another 5 years milking customers out of their money, claiming a new Treo as NEW, when in fact it is the same piece of junk they have been selling all along. I got coned into this before, but I no longer waste my money on anything made by Palm. But if Palm, after waiting 5 YEARS TO UPDATE THE TREO! Comes out with an updated Treo, then comes out with another so-called update using the x50 formula ...

Not once did Palm compare the 800w to the Iphone. It's for windows mobile users. I'm so sick of people praising the Iphone, if you like it so much why not get it? Why are you complaining? not everybody wants an Iphone, There are people that prefer other things in this world ya know. People moan and groan about what these phones don't offer, well why don't YOU do something about it and stop complaining about a darn cell phone theres more to life than cell phones. It's sad to see people cry and whine over a cell phone. Gee,I wonder how people survived without them 10 years ago.

Ditto, the iphone is a garbage. Why compare everything to it, like its a god that everything needs to match. I know of about a dozen phones that can out perform and out feature the iphone without even trying.

I've got to chime in here...The entire point I think you are missing is the target for each of these phones. The iPhone and the Treo 800w are not in the same market, they're barely in the same freakin universe.
Treo 800w is for hard core business users that need to be connected and "in touch" all the time.
The iPhone is for "prosumers" that LIKE to be able to send/receive email, surf the web, maybe have their calendar on their phone, listen to music and oh yea, lets not forget have a desire to have the latest greatest "miracle" device from Apple.
The reason the Treo stays in the candy bar, no moving parts, form factor is because of the Treo audience - period. If they did a slider, or a flip, a tilt (whatever) they would LOSE the T...

I agree that the treo is great phone for business. The Iphone is just flashy, people want to iphone to have the newest thing, not the best thing. I have use almost all treo's and I always loved them. I liked the palm os better that WM but both are great phones and very very very easy to use.
