Treo 850w?

I've seen pictures on the internet about a possible update of the treo 800w, I know it just came out - but google treo 850w and see what it brings up - it seems like its from overseas but who knows.

Does anyone have any speculation about this? I don't want to invest in the 800 if the 850 is coming out in a few months.

Thanks

The Treo 800w is the CDMA version (Sprint and later on Verizon (I hope). The 850W is the GSM verzion (Cingular/AT&T Wireless and probably not Tmobile; since Tmobile has no idea what a useful PDA is).

They are almost the same, a little difference in looks, different cell technology (CDMA vs GSM) but otherwise should be about the same phone.

Can anyone speculate on when an update for the cdma version will come out, i know this one just came out (800w), but approximately how long does palm take to release updates/new models?

There seem to be a substantial number of improvements between the 850, now named the "Pro", and the 800.
The are not the CDMA version and the GSM version since the Pro started development a year later.
Verizon has dropped the 800w from its prospective list and will be getting a CDMA version of the Pro later this year.
