aaaaaalllllrrrriiiiiggghhhhhtt!!! so as i was reading, the contract that at&t and apple have is set to expire in 2010. meaning if at&t doesn't beg and plead enough to apple to extend the contract...apple will expand their iphone to more carriers.

VERIZON! VERIZON! CONSIDER VERIZON! LOL. at&t sucks. like bad. no comparison in coverage to Verizon. so please, apple, give Verizon customers the iphone chance. they deserve it.

well that'll be dicided between VZW and apple. but i'm sure if that did happen, think of the plus side for VZW...more new contracts? very high number of sales as far as contracts, upgrades, and outright sales. plus side for apple...more money. high amount of sales through verizon and perhaps other carriers? they would't be held down by at&t anymore so they could greatly expand and get more moolah. heck if it was me, i'd give a big hell yes. overall more money

I was with Verizon Wireless for more than 8 years, and finally gave up...and ported my number to at&t. It's been two weeks, and I haven't regretted it yet; in fact, I have service where my VZW service was not so great.

Also, hints were dropped last week by the CEO of VZW and we won't be seeing a CDMA version of the phone, but very likely that we will see a version of the iPhone using the 4G Network, which Verizon will launch in 2010.

I'll probably stay with at&t until they work out the kinks in the system. But overall my experience has been positive and love the phone.

AT&T deal is for 5 years. Shouldn't contract end in 2012 since iPhone launched July 2007.
