Digital copies of movies on iPhone?

I have a bunch of those free digital copies of movies (that come with the DVD itself) in my iTunes library, and I can't for the life of me figure out how to get them on my iPhone.
I found something about having to convert them to a certain type of file, but I'm confused. đ

when you plug your iphone into iTunes look under device and select your iPhone- there should be tabs across the top that read Summary, Music, Video, Podcasts, Applications, Pictures. etc.
select Video and you should be able to select which movies you want to load.

You may have to convert the file to an mp4 file. So you may need to download a converter onto your computer but I know most of those cost mony.
