Okay, the new firmware SHOULD help with the freezing. I have it, and am happy with the new firmware update. You should also update your PRL.

If you have Sprint, they allow you to update your phone for free (even without a data pack). But if they charge you on the bill, you can call them and they will happily take those charges off for you.
