This thing had BETTER be a drastic improvement over the original shadow. That thing was great for about a month and then started sucking big time. I don't know how many customers I had sold it to that came back complaining about it. Hopefully it everything is fixed.

From all the reviews i've seen the OS upgraded a lil bit and works great! The phone itself doesnt feel the best but it should be a lot better than shadow 1

Its not the phone that sucks its Windows Mobile that sucks. Windows has horrible for memory management. Thas why after a month or so it starts to slow down.

Love or hate WM really isn't the point here, but don't you think they could have come out with something better? An AWS Touchpro (Fuze) or something? Honestly don't know if this sux or not, but it is a big yawn.

This phone isn't geared for power users who want the Fuze. Its for basic users who want a little more than a phone.

Windows Mobile blows the big one, on a Touch or a Shadow, or whatever. They're all garbage b/c of the OS. The new Shadow is a pretty solid DEVICE, but its still WM. Blech, if you want a 20 key device, get a pearl or pearl flip.
Only good thing about Shadow is the browser, its fast, and you only have to get the 9.99 data plan for it instead of the 24.99 one...

😎

nice key points to, in essence bash on WM. using the software on my first dash was annoying. being patient for the processor was your only shortcut to avoid the often crash on the phone. overloading the memory and just not enough speed from the cpu.

on to the shadow, i definitely love the form factor and size. hidden keyboard and screen size. come to find that the unit will read my 4gb card mass storage, this really helps for pictures. Which i love taking, and later be able to crop and adjust picture settings for later internet uploads.

a better processor than before and a fast browser. i love to point out that i'm always surrounded by wifi, which the shadow finds, save login router info and skip paying for tmobile data...

I never had these problems with my Dash. No slow downs, no lag, no memory issues. Too be honest, I have already mentioned in other posts that I think the Dash is still a great phone Today. Personally, I like windows mobile and havent had any problems with it. I find it easier to use then the Blackberrys (im using the 8900 atm) and has a closer to home feel then Android. Haters gonna hate, but all in all I think Windows Mobile is Okay. Shadow 2 WITH Windows Mobile looks to be a very solid phone. You can hate Windows Mobile if you want, but, when next to a Blackberry, 90% of my customers take the Windows Mobile. It looks and feels fimilar. Customers are ready to learn something new but not if something old that works is also a option.

The W...

WM is garbage, seriously. Its not as user friendly as Blackberry, and it has ridiculous memory management. My Wing was garbage from day 1, but as an employee we can't return phones. Blackberry OS is much much better. WM can't compete by any stretch of the imagination.

BB phones are good as far as stability, BUT WM can be hacked and there are aftermarket ROMs like WM 6.1 that are way better than the garbage T-mo ROM that comes with the phone. IMHO there is so much more you can do with a WM phone than a BB will ever do such as overclocking, the NES emulator, registry hacking, tons of 3rd party apps, etc.

It all comes down to what you plan on doing with your phone.
