Sharp Sidekick 2008

I can't receive calls on my Sidekick 2008, but I can make calls?

I recently bought the new Sidekick 2008 and I can only make calls, not receive them. Its the same with texts. When i turn on the phone i get an alert saying "Network services unavaliable". It says that either my GPRS APn settings are incorrect or my account isnt configured for GPRS. I am a resident of Canada and I'm hoping someone can help me. PLEASE.
