Can you actually listen to the radio with this phone? Or is the transmitter used exclusively to broadcast music to a radio station of your choosing?

Thanks!

No, it's just a transmitter, not a receiver. You can't listen to the radio with it. The FM Transmitter is used to send music to your radio. FYI, the transmitter can only transmit at 88.1, 96.1, and 106.1 MHz.

Actually you can adjust the frequency. Jagguar, those are just the default stations that the Chocolate 3 has. You can set those defaults to anything. Also a huge benefit to this is that if reception for one station is sketchy; you will be able to adjust the other presets so there's even less time with the loud static that gets through

I have the C3 and I will tell you that the transmitter, ie from your phone to the radio is adjustable. Its merely preset on 88.1, 96.1, and 106.1. You have to adjust the tuner in open mode by hitting the Tune button and then adjusting to the right or left.

I will say the trasmitter is incredibly weak if you live in a major metro area with most stations already being occupied. I expect them to fix this though.

It is hopeful thinking to want this to happen. However, there is a reason it won't occur. A couple of years ago, there were many complaints filed with the FCC with regard to FM transmissions. XM and Sirius receivers that had the FM trasmitters on-board were notoriously known for being too strong and crowding out legitimate broadcasts. The FCC forced the manufacturers to severely reduce the range of these transmitters. It's now to the point that you have to have a direct wire from the satellite receiver into your FM antenna input in order t...

Ahh, that makes sense. I had one of those sirius transmitters as well and yeah I could have it on in my car, parked in the garage and still pick up the signal at my pool, a good 75 yards or so through about 18" of stucco.

Although I was in a Toyota Tacoma this weekend and the FM transmitter worked great about 80% of time.

I took my car into the shop and had them update the BT firmware so it supports the AVCR profile and now it sounds like a champ.
