Is the Bold able to connect with Microsoft Outlook and save my Calander appointments?

No problem - when you run Desktop manager you can set it to do that automatically (and it syncs). You can also sync with Google Calendar if you want to. Desktop Manager also saves (and syncs) your phone book, to do list, etc.
