I don't think its about control i think its about price i think they are doing this to lower the price of these device the saga is $199.99 and its rev A and a global device I bet its a expensive phone for Verizon to buy. I bet they could go back to there old policy of one price if you buy the internet and keep it and one price if you want to buy the device without if you done buy the internet like $199.99 for a two year with internet commitment $399.99 for the non internet and let people choose. Although I agree with Verizon pick one way to do biz and stick with it much easier to enplane personally I think it a good way to do it just like the IPhone must have internet I think we are seeing a industry trend
