Seeing this is a WinMo phone, I take it will require a data plan. How much extra per month would teathering cost?

$30 a month for both e-mail and internet. verizon just required 2 days ago that all PDAs have the same data plan as blackberrys.

it sucks that you need to pay 5 bucks a month extra for wireless sync that lets you receive emails instantly. with the blackberry...it's already included.

Yup, I get that part. The question I am asking is, how much more per month to use the phone as a modem?

It's 15.00 a month in addition to your calling/data plan to tether.

Just purchase and install this application and you can tether for free via Wifi. Your phone becomes it's own hotspot.
No tethering plan needed.

If you use the wifi router software.
Eventually they will nail you, or tell you to update your plan.
Their not stupid and if it affects their revenue, you better believe their watching for it. So you might be able to use it for a little while, but then get a bill for the data usage.
Because Data and Voice are not seen the same way on the cell network. Data calls, and Voice calls speak to the cell towers differently.
Key point here, they will know.
So dont think your gonna be cute with this software. and dont be suprised after a couple months of usage that your getting told to pay for data or tethering or they cut off data altogether.

As a matter of fact, Im telling on you.....

j/k lol, basically just watch your butt with this soft...
