Motorola Rapture VU30
Review based on initial impressions
PROS:
+Great looking phone (distinctive glossy blue)
+Large bright internal screen
+Updated Verizon UI (similar to Chocolate 3)
+Slick black theme modernizes the entire menu system
+Phone is very fast and responsive
+Same size as the W755 but better use of space
+Call quality is great & earpiece volume is good
+The touch button vibrations are strong
+Internal keypad is VERY responsive/easy to use
+Lightweight (weighs noticeably less than V3m)
+Manual external keypad lock avoids accidental presses
+Soft touch rubber on the back/ easy to hold
+Large clock on internal & external screen
CONS:
-Unable to read text messages or view missed calls on external screen
-Too many side buttons, hard to hold without hitting at least one
-Camera button is on the lower right side
-Taking self portraits would be very difficult
-A flash would have been nice
-Entire phone is plastic, may loosen up over time
-Glossy front / prone to fingerprints & possibly scratching
Overall, I think this is VERY good phone. It does all the essentials well and it has a unique look. That said, this is no replacement for a V9m in any way. While it may look good, It does NOT have the high end materials that distinguished the V9m. Build quality is definitely on par with the Chocolate 3, and I'd say it's better looking as well. If I were to rate it today, I'd give it an 8.5/10
