The only thing I can call it is "crashing". The phone turns off, and the button lights remain on (if they were on). Pressing the red button doesn't help either, only way out is to take out the damn battery.

This only happens when I put MP3 songs into the memory card, in the "ringtones" folder and set one of them as the ringtone. It plays MP3 in the "my music" folder just fine.

This is very inconvenient, and quite disappointing. When you pay 200 bucks for a phone like this, you at least expect it to ring when you get a call, instead of just turning off. Correct me if I'm wrong.

If anyone has a solution to this, I'd really appreciate if you let me know. If I have to be using a particular file format for ringtones please say so. If it's just this particular phone that they have given me, then just confirm that is abnormal so I'll go smack it into the MetroPCS guy's face, forfeit the whole thing and find another carrier.
