Main Verizon forum (under Carriers) has a discussion about the Boulder. Actually, a couple. I posted the following there, and I wish someone at Verizon would read it, pass it on, and fix my issues:

"I am on Day 3 with this phone and I am extremely skeptical. I bought it because it finally seemed like they had made a G'zOne model that wasn't insanely bulky, but now I feel like a beta tester learning massive flaws with a product that was perhaps rushed to market.

1. The battery life is silly. It's like they're saying: "Be adventurous and outdoorsy! (but remain very close to a power source)" Yesterday I made very few calls and dropped quickly to half-power. My LG VX8300 kept power much, much, much longer than this.

2. The ringtone prob...

Hey ArmySF! I'm sure I probably asked you this already, so sorry if I did. Is the backlight on the Adventure pretty bright? I'm pretty picky about that. I had the LG VX 8300 that also had a black keypad, and white backlight, but the light was prety dull. So I wondered how the Adventure was in your opinion. Also for anyone else who has this phone, can comment also. Made a mistake on the LG. It was the LG VX 8350, not 8300. I decided I don't want the Boulder, the more I look at it the more I don't want it. Keypad is so close together, there is just some things about it. I have one more to look at, which is coming out out Aug.12th. That is the blue and silver Nokia 6205. I want to see what that one is like, before I make my decision. Do you kno...

The back light is very good on the Adventure much better then the LG 8350. I would not waste my time with the Nokia there are already reviews of the Nokia 6205 Dark Knight, it's a basic phone with crappy call clarity. Stick with the Motorola Adventure! The Adventure is getting fantastic reviews all over the Internet! It's the best phone I've had in ten years! Wasting your your upgrade on that Nokia would be a huge mistake. Good Luck!

Thanks for responding so fast, ArmySF! Really appreciate your feedback. You are right about what you said on the Nokia. It seems too light weight. I will check it out, but I have a feeling it won't hold a candle to the Adventure! If you think of anything else, feel free to comment. I love the feedback and the help. And the Adventure IS getting rave reviews. Thanks much. 😁

ArmySf. I forgot to ask you if the plastic on the front of the phone , where the time is, etc, is that scratch proof? No big deal if it's not. How about a fingerprint magnet? Looking forward to any info, thanks!!

The Adventure is not a finger print magnet, I hate phones that are....no smudges with this phone!

The screen is durable! I often carry my phone in my pocket with my keys, and the screen is not scratched at all.

Thanks again, ArmySF! I so appreciate your help and feedback. I will probably wind up with this phone. I hate fingerprint magnets too. Glad the screen is durable. Thanks again for all the feedback. If you think of anything else, feel free to post. I di have a little concern about the hinge on the earpiece that's connected to the phone. It seemed a little flimsy. Maybe it's fine and just how it's made. Seems to have some give. What is your take on this? Thanks for responding!!! 😁

The hinge is fine at first I thought there might be a problem, but then I remember my other Mill spec phone being like that too. If anything the play went away after a little use, my wifes phone and mine have seated into a firm position. I'm not worried about it at all.

ArmySF:

You got an answer to my text input question? I think it got kind of lost below this thread... I'm curious. I like the easy-learning, predictive LG model.

Hey ArmySF! Was reading the latest reviews on phonescoop.com on this phone, and tha latest person said it was absolutely flimsy. I guess I just wonder why they say that. Several of them have, but overall, this phone has great reviews. I guess I shouldn't be comcerned over a few negative remarks on the Adventure. Any feedback? 😲
