OK, Has Anyone Tried Tethering A Laptop With This Phone????

This is a Rev A phone. And I see people mentioning that the downloads on the phone seem faster.

Does anyone have Phone as Modem service with Verizon who has activated this phone?

I think they charge $60/month for this, so probably not too many of you do.

But for those who do, how fast is this thing, really? Can you post up and download speeds on your laptop? Thanks.

I'm sure you're right about that, Cellenator.

But I'm trying to see at the laptop level how fast Rev A on this phone is when used as a modem.

Verizon says it isn't tetherable and I believe them. ☹️ I bought the Moto W755 and it too is "not tetherable" according to Verizon. I ignored that, got the USB drivers from Motorola, installed access manager software and turned the $60 feature on for one month. Worked perfectly WHEN IT WORKED. Unfortunately I kept getting password/login errors constantly and it would not hold the connection longer than a few minutes. Returned the 755, unhitched the unlimited access feature and am now waiting for my "new in 2" which kicks in two weeks from now. Probably get an LG 9100 which definitely works. I would get the V750 in a New York minute if it were tetherable.

Sneaks:

I'm not sure what led you to conclude that the V750 is not tetherable. I'm pretty sure it is.

Does Verizon do something to actively disuade users from using this phonethis way?
