I charged my Curve 8330 last night - to 100%....this morning , at about 7:30AM, I noticed it had only 55% battery life.....then , at about 9:30 AM , I am on a voice call when all of a sudden the call seems to drop, but, the phone looks as if it powered off, got an hourglass.....then, the battery meter was in the red.....I am charging my phone as we speak.

My Blackberry is roughly 6 months old - has anyone experienced a problem like this ??

you probably have a gps app running non stop hold the BB button (the bunch of dots left of control ball) and see whats running. I've never had bad battery issues with a BB this is my 5th or 6th.

The BIGGEST thing people dont realize that not closing programs drain batteries.. just "tabbing" out of them doesnt stop them from running. Also battery pull resets from time to time help applications keep wrangled.

Second, either keep it in its holster or keep it out. Pulling it out to check the time turns on the backlight and that's another big energy hog

Third, pull the battery every once in a while. I have quickpull installed and scheduled to go every night when I'm asleep and the full reboot helps keep it fresh because it shuts down everything that's not essential

Fourth, if you can afford to do so, use your "auto-on-off" feature to keep the phone off when you're not goi...
