Computer not detecting device

Hi, i have the 8330 for sprint and I am having trouble getting the computer to detect the curve. I am running windows vista 64 bit on my computer and everytime i connect the phone via USB the charging icon on the phone shows up for a few seconds and disapears. Blackberry desktop manager isn't recognizing any device when connected to the computer via USB.

I tried calling sprint tech support but she said it isn't compatible with 64 bit computers. I have a feeling she didnt know what she was talking about because it DID sync before on the same computer. That's how I got all my contacts, calendar events, tasks and notes in my phone.

Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks.

I currently have this same problem...I have had my Curve since May 2008 and I have always been able to connect my phone to Desktop Manager without any issues and now all of a sudden it no longer connects.

Has anyone else had this happen and been able to fix it??

I just got the problem fixed. Went to the sprint store and they said the prongs inside the mini usb connection in the phone were bent up where the connection wasn't consistent. They fixed it by bending them down. It might be a temporary solution but at this point i dont know.
