BlackBerry Messenger Issue

I cannot receive BlackBerry messages while on a call. I can receive normal text messages while on a call though. Any ideas?

Blackberry Messenger uses data and the curve can not do voice and data simultaneously. So you can't browse the web or get Blackberry Messenger messages while on a phone call.
